I think Nelson tried Helium once......... :p

Halfords fold me some 'special air' for my 200SX when they serviced it once. It was £1 a wheel. I didn't notice any difference.

possibly it was just hot..... :)

Unless you run with extremely hard bushes and racing tyres, you should feel no difference... a pretty much valueless expense.

Aren't the molecules larger or something so the pressures are more stable ?

Air is about 80% nitrogen anway.

Yup, is supposed to maintain a stable pressure regardless of tyre temps. also meant to be better for your alloys as it reduces any risk of corrosion.

They told me all sorts of marvellous things at Halfords including it'd leak out less so pressure would remain constant and it'd expand less when hot.

Personally I wouldn't bother again. I guess if you were racing it might be worthwhile but I dunno.

yeah yeah yeah, next you'll be telling us to check our headlight fluid levels again mr paul

Ah, but if your headlights run out of lighting fluid when you're on a dark country road you could be in all sorts of bother! Best to check they are topped up on a regular basis I reckon. :)

I'll just let some of the water out of my rear tyres :) next to air pumps in tescos they have the option to fill your tyres up with water also.

no no no! it really is used!! not like asbestos hampsters or anything!

got to back paul up here. was at demon tweeks the other day and soar something similar in the fitting bay but dint take much notice of what it was.

It should give more consistient pressures with temp as there's no moisture content in it. All F1 teams do it.
