MOT Failure

Right, got a couple of problems need solving.

My Z has just failed it's MOT. It has a very leaky front right shock. Not standard unfortunately. I believe the car has uprated shocks all over.

1) Will i therefore need to change the lot or just the front 2???

2) Any recommendations for set ups and installers??

3) Should i go for the caber correction kit / adjustable link arms to go on at the same time? Would this give me any labour saving?

Yes i am lazy. Though a little worried that my garage could find a leaky shock, but neither the hazard nor rear fog switches....one is fairly obvious.....

bloody :smw:

Any help or advice much appreciated.

its generally better to replace as a pair unless theres very low mileage on them. chris@getgreddy does a selection so speak to him.

yup, deffo worth fitting at the time of installation, tho the upper arms & tension rods are pretty easy to fit anyway

Chers Paul.

Not sure on the milage as was bought attached and is an import. Not even sure of the make.....grey in colour....with red springs... very technical i know.

I've also just had my ACL (footballer knee op) so can't really do anything on the car which requires any physical work for a while...can't even drive for at least the next 2 weeks!

However i need to get this completely sorted within the next 2 weeks or i'll be charged for the retest. Lovely time of year.....

Always better to match any of the components over an axle, shocks springs tyres etc. but for the sake of the mot you only need to change the leaking one.

Speak to the garage regards the retest fee, cause technicaly they could charge you again anyway

oof Anterior Cruciate Ligament.. sore.. did the same meself when my team mate went for oppo, right thru, took me out too!

you only need to change the front two :) As above, spk to chris.
