So who has actually managed to fix thier leaky targas once and for all and who is still sat in a puddle like me !! :D

Which method did YOU use?

Silicone Sealant?

Lube it up with vaseline?

Replaced the skanky old rubber bits?

AutoGlym (or other) Rubber restorer gunk?

Another mystical method nobody has heard of?

Seriously, I bought some new rubbers for the leaking Targa top. But I don't think I needed to. If you study the area where it leaks you'll see where the leak comes from. The water is supposed to flow between the top and the roof body work. It then sloshes around till it gets to the front or the back 'catchment' where it is supposed to flow down the little tubes to God knows where. While it is waiting to go down the tube, it is supposed to be held in that position by the rubber and make a little pool. But what happens, as the rubbers get a bit old, the water leaks underneath it and onto your lap. I used Perma Seal, black gluey stuff, to stick the BOTTOM of the rubbers down again so that it can't leak. It worked a treat. And cost FA

What is it manual or Auto I still got both for sale.

Auto is perfect manual box needs new thrust bearing

What about a Group buy on the Top Rubbers

mina don't leak at the moment, but because i've said this I bet the barstools will very soon.

Any ideas of anything worth putting on the seals to stop them leaking if they're ok now?

Some of that rubber treatment stuff to keep them soft and pliable every so often is your best bet.

Not too sure what is wrong with it at the moment. When I put her in '1' she is a lot quicker that if I were to stamp my foot down in 'D'. Very weird, and past about 60Mph she just does not pull too well. So I figure gearbox?

Any suggestions?

I'll keep my wet bum thanks... :D

Thank goodness ;)
