Mine was, getting ontop of it all now though

Very small bit on my O/S/R arch. Apart from that its pretty much perfect :D:D:D:D

Tis a UK car BTW!!

Mine's almost rust free - a very small amount under the sills. Has been garaged for the last 7 years though...

Cheeky fooker!! :nono:

Most Japanese cars are not undersealed. If you get an import it's best to get this done as soon as poss. That might explain why you see so many rusty Jap cars?

iv seen some j-spec cars that have been in the country for a few years with no rust whatsoever but still probably a good idea

jap spec, no rust whatsoever

I read in a buyers guide that all zed's have the same undersealing done,

whether jap or uk?

Anyway.....mines a jap with no rust at all :)

J spec, not even a blemish of rust on a single bolt head

Totally agree, except that mine has been imported since 2000, and it's NOT undersealed, and there is no rust on it what-so-ever!!!!

PS- And it's parked outside all the time!

Jspec no rust  more often than not it is very easy to tell by looking under the car if it is a UK or Japspec , the UK ones are nearly always in poorer condition than there Japanese brothers

Of the 3 Zeds I've seen on the ramps at GPS 2 Jspec 1 UK and the 4 I've seen on the ramps at Alunox 3 jap and 1 Uk I've got to say mine is the best I've seen apart from under the battery Tray though it has been treated i feel that at some stage it will have to be cut out and replaced. The rest of my UK motor is generally one of the best conditioned Z's I've ever seen

P.S. of the worst 2 and both were ropey 1 was UK the other was Jspec. The Jspecs generally have done much less millage and are usually better though i feel thats more the reason than its origins.

J-Spec, just one tiny nipple.

that would be the driver then Pete

Uk spec, little bit of rust on rear wing which was removed once 2 years ago,

apart from that, i've had to have the rear sills done.

Jap, one tiny bit of rust where a fleck of paint has chipped off the rear wing.

Bet this has jinxed me now!
