My missus (bless her) has decided she, sorry we, need to have a dishwasher in the kitchen. I have identified a cupboard in the kitchen that can go, but which machine to fit????

Anyone got a decent dishwasher if so what make? Is there anyone with one thats been a nightmare. I know we had loads of sh1te with Zanussi over the fridge so dont want to get into that situation again.

We've got an integrated AEG machine in our Kitchen which has been there since the house was built about 8 years ago. No major problems so far (touch wood) - had the anti-flood device replaced a couple of times but that's about it.

Nick,If it is going in a cupboard then you have to choose an intergrated one.

I have a Bosch AAA and it's a very good machine;)

I used *&Q to get my dishasher...

Took a day off work once they had confirmed delivery, they phoned the night before to confirm that someone would be in all day from 8am - 6pm, which I was. At 6pm I phoned them to see where the driver was they gave me the number for the courier firm who closed at 4pm . I couldn't get any joy out of the courier company the next day and *&Q were giving me the run around so I canceled the order and went to Co*met. Who delivered on a saturtday one week later.

* I have deliberately commetted out the company names for legal reasons. PM me if you need to know who they are.

I've got a Bosch AAA too, and I've never had any probs either. It even works out how dirty the dishes are and figures out how long it needs to run for.

If you shop around on the net, you should be able to get it for cheaper than the usual high street shops sell for.

Bunch of saddos talking about dishwashers etc. :D However, I believe they can be very useful for washing stuff like gearbox castings etc when the Mrs is out shopping ! ;)

I feel a de-greasing plan comming on...............hehehehe

Thanks for all the advice fellas. The missus enjoyed reading them comments as well, seeing as she started all this!!

Looks like the Bosch is getting a favourable following so will pop down the local places and see one in the flesh, before doing a price check.

Stu, took me ages to fill in the missing letters!! :p

Iain, its not going to be integrated as I'll drop the cupboard carcase and place the machine in there. Too much hassle to start fitting doors on them and the like!!!

Xbiker, since having a kid theres more and more washing up to do! The little fella dont half use a lot of cups and plates!! Besides, the longer she spends washing up the less time she has to iron my shirts and do the housework!!! ;)

Shes also talking about getting some new furniture for the bedroom, wants the washing machine moving from the garage into the kitchen, and wasnt to redecorate the spare room. I think shes up to something ;) and its looking like it may be an expensive couple of months!!!

Cheers lads

Miele are supposed to be the best, but they're not cheap. We went for a Bosch in the end too. It works well and is much quieter than our old dishwasher. :)

Anyway, if it's going in a cupboard, who cares what it looks like? ;)

Cheers anyway Iain, but I'll get myself down the local Electrical mile next weekend and visit the notorious stores to get a look at one.

Thanks matey
