Guys

I know a few people have Skyline brakes so....if a brake kit is designed to fit a R32 GTR will it adapt easily enough to the Z ?

I found this kit for about £500 and will have it if they will fit.

Cheers for any advice....

Mark

Someone else can confirm before parting with your hard earned...but r32 have the same brakes as the z32, so this upgraded kit should go on.

and, £500???? new??? if they have more than one set, email me:

Skyline r32's are indeed same spec as Z32, it's GTR 33 & 34 you want and good luck finding em second hand at less than 500 big ones..............

Not 100% certain but i thought N/A z32 front brakes were the same as R32 ans Z32 TT were same as R33

cool what size disks are those? and where from, share and share alike ;)

i think the point is, that if r32 are the same as z32 - which we have established they are;) , then this upgraded kit designed for an r32 will go straight on. Id hazard a guess that these are easily as good as standard r33/r34 setup if not better.

His question mate was "is it the r32 same spec as z32" and yes i confirmed your thoughts for yer (as asked), however the kit above is not much of an upgrade for the r32 compared to the r33/r34's larger discs and most important part, the brembo larger calipers. It's our calipers being too weak for such a heavy car is the downfall and so unless those calipers in his pic are 6 pots with bigger than 325mm discs, which they ain't, then all it's doing is replacing old with slightly better new.. for just over 500 quid the r33/34 full kit can be sourced S/H and IMO the far better option.

cheers

The calipers are 4-pot and the discs are 332mm two-piece.

The kit is in Japan.

Based on what you've all said I've ordered it :)

Cheers

PS There's only one kit I'm afraid.

only one, doh!

I see you must have a set and know for a fact they arent as good.

332mm discs seem a pretty good upgrade, and the calipers look easily as good as the brembo r33/34 items, to say that the alcon caliper is weak is a bit short sighted as last time I checked the r33/34 brembos arent 6pot either. So for £500 for a kit that will be easily as good as a r33/34 setup (comparing disc size and caliper size/setup) id say IMO the alcons are a very good option.
