As I am getting a few names brought forward to name and shame about people not

A sending parts out

B paying for parts

What do you make of this as I think it is the most CRAP excuse so far.

This guy pays for some parts back in June and is still waiting,The guy that sold the parts said he did send them and the post office lost them,(this week) some 4 months later he said he would pay 50% of the cash back to the guy that sent the money and got **** all:(

Is this a fair thing to do? Or should he give a full refund back?

Full Refund definately , tbh Iain with people like this and in xtreme cases people should be named to protect the other members on the forum , just my opinion of course :D

Not on, period!

Full refund and name the person involved. But then you know I'm biased when it comes to this subject mate! :( ;)

agree completely with ryan

why hasn't th seller claimed back the value of the goods from the post office, I'm assuming they would have been valuable and so sent special delivery right.

Named & Shamed section in subscribed Members only area tbh. Where only moderators can create new topics.

So far I have had three separate cases and I have sorted three refunds :hyper:

This is number 4 so fingers crossed I can have a 100% strike rate;) If I don’t get the full refund then you will see his name in the name and shame forum FACT!

Then you can see who to stay well clear of.This club will not tolerate people doing a runner with your cash :nono: Well as long as I am TLO it won't.

I'm with the name and shame team. Its the same as the keyboard ninja thing, you would never treat a guy who you meet every day in the street like that, they only do it cos the can shut the pc down and get away. My 2p

Totally agree

I wonder if he just stuck stamps on them or got recorded/special delivery. If you pay the little extra on the post, you get insurance and the PO will pay out to the value of the goods. Personally, I would deffo refund my buyer in this case.

I'd say that the only time when it would be unreasonable to expect the seller to give a full refund is if the buyer was given the option of paying extra for insured delivery and decided against it.

On the other hand, it makes sense for the seller to use at least recorded delivery anyway to avoid the opposite problem of the seller claiming not to have received the goods when they have... :mac1:

Frankly, I'd be all for putting the names of those people who needed 4 months and some 'persuasion' from you before sorting things out in the list too (albeit with a note to say that it all got sorted in the end), because I wouldn't be too keen on dealing with them anyway. :slap:

Yeah but if they know they are gonna end up with a bad rep either way, why would they bother paying money back?

They might as well leave it and keep the buyers money and have a bad rep rather than give the money back and have a bad rep.

This is the lamest excuse I have ever heard.

Full Refund is needed.

Can I suggest to everyone who doesn't do this currently. If you sell someone something and have taken the money from that person you send it by recorded delivery unless you are prepared to refund the buyer in full if something happens to the package.

Also it would be nice that if that package was delayed due to the seller not getting round to sending it. The seller should update the buyer on the progress rather than buyer having to constantly check where the item is 1 month after he has paid for it !!

True, and that did occur to me, but they would have a better reputation by giving a refund than they would if they didn't, just not as good as if they hadn't p*ssed someone about for 4 months in the first place... :x:

Agree!!!!!

Full refund AND name & shame.

I'm fully with this, if I sell something, it gets sent as soon as I receive the funds. Likewise if I buy something, I send the money asap (Sorry MAC, i forgot to send the money for the Tee-Shirt on time originally :slap: but at least it got sent in the end :nelson: )

Mame and shame

then post their name so everyone knows why he's missing his knee caps.

thats sounds like a *****x excuse to me - i hope its no one i know :(

I have been very happy with the service i have received from the traders and i note that whenever they have sent goods out to me they were sent registered delivery. Surely this is the sensible thing to do.

Regards,

alex

Can i start naming too ? :D

Name & Shame vote from me too! Ok, we all pay £20 odd to be here, but ultimately the success of this club runs on the 'goodwill' of the members. That goodwill will soon go out of the window if there is no trust.

name and shame but only once it is established that the facts are correct and not leaving the club open to an action of liable.three warnings then publish name, as this may be seen as taking all reasonable steps

full refund is the way, other wise its plain theft!!!! i should know i deal with theives every other day!!!

if the facts are 100% then name and shame is the only course, no one should have to suffer other peoples miss fortunes with other members.

i havent been a member as long as most, and id like to think i a reasonably moral and ethical kinda guy, especially for my age. If we cant trust our fellow members to play the trust card what is the point in having the forum in the first place???

every one i have spoken to and met have been grade A top people and id hate to think that someone would run away with my money, action needs taking and NOW

any 1 else agree??

I know i have several peoples money for bits of my car to send out but i'm in the same situation i have paid for goods from the US nearly 2 1/2 months ago and was told they would be here in 2 weeks and guess what.....nothing and ive shelled out £3k but i feel bad as i feel like i'm letting people down now because i have been let down :(

The law states that the transaction has not been completed untill merchandise has changed hands. This does not include the vendor handing the goods to a 3rd party for transport. If any issues arrive during the transport period of the transaction this is strictly between the vendor and the transporter.

Pailure to supply goods should be

A: met with full refund

B: Met with full refund.

So if this was to go to a small claims court the judge would make the vendor cough up plus pay expences.

this is why all vendors should have this thing called INSURANCE
