Suspension help

Is it sensible to fit lowering springs without replacing the shocks? I have a set of AVOs (35mm drop) but it doesnt look like im going to get the shocks.

My current shocks seem fine to me but should i have them checked over, or just wait for new shocks??

Cheers

Scott

yas

Still pretty shitty. My renewal is on the 8th of October.

Still not tried Adrian Flux again. Might do that this afternoon.

What is the ride like with the standard shocks yas?

stock shocks with lowering springs is definatley a harder ride than a complete stock set up but i havnt been in an uprated shocks and springs setup so i cant compare to that. u pretty much feel every bump in th road in my car and i aint very good at going fast round corners (which is why my car was very poorly) so cant tell you anything about handling.

whers all th guys who know everthin bout everythin? lol

I think what this comes down to is whether you are paying someone to fit your springs or doing it yourself. I mean, it will cost you no extra to have the new shocks fitted at the same time as the springs but of course if you decide after to add new shocks then it is just repeating the process again. Scott, I have the same AVO's on standard shocks, put new rears in at the time as they were very cheap (Jap) but didn't have the money for fronts. I thought the ride was still very good. My fronts are now fooked and want to replace front AND rear, so in answer to your question (in a long drawn out way!) I would fit new shocks at the same time if you can afford it.

.......if only we had new shocks to fit!

If only :D

Think i'll probably go for new shocks anyway. Replacing all the brakes as well and would rather get it done in a oner. Searching for prices at this very moment.
