I guess I'm not the only one weeing himself waiting for this game to be released. It's just been officially announced that there will be at least 650 cars in the finished game :shock: :bow:

However online play has been discontinued, until they try to release a special online version next year (doesnt bother me tho)

Release date (at the moment) is Dec 14th.

i'm currently trying to complete the last version, up to around 80% at the mo.

Hmmm - strange things are afoot at Amazon. Got an email from them saying it's been dispatched, yet my account status page says it hasn't?!?

Always found that Amazon were always delivering or about to deliver and never did.

i pre-ordered mine from Play.com (back in October - I ended up forgetting who I'd pre-ordered it from! :wack: ). My status on there tells me there are no outstanding orders, but the e-mail says allow 3-5 days delivery. Hopefully that's just a cautious guess and it'll be here tomorrow ;) or at least Wednesday when im taking a crate of bud round to a mate's, taking the phone off the hook and playing this game till our thumbs fall off (GT4 that is :x: )

I hit the roof as I had 4 titles on pre order at the time

Amazon i have found to be brill.

I got GTA s/andreas delivered on the day of release as i had pre ordered it.

I then checked up on the order and the price of the game had dropped to 24.99 so i cancelled my previous pre order and made a new one for £24.99... :)

I have bought a logitech driving force pro which is ace and also works (to a level) on PC

I have got a VGA converter so I can plug my PS2 into a monitor therefore clamping the wheel to my pc desk (unable to get the right setup downstairs)

And the picture looks better in my opinion although only 4:3

If anyone wants any details i will post up.

Oh forgot to mention. If you saw the thread I had the jap version for sale, the bummer is the english version dosent come with the drivers handbook

Yeah, the Logitech wheel is fantastic - makes such a difference, having the full 900 degree lock, although I did feel like a bit of a fool for a while, flailing about from lock to lock on the BMW Virtual Drive thingy.

IMO you can only get the best out of the GT series (or any race game really) with a FF wheel.
