Afternoon,

Bit pissed off with the zed today, I have a short list of things that needs doing/fixing, and I know each one of them would put off a buyer. And I really do need the moeny now...

Advice would be great cheers :hyper:

Still got the dead speedo/occ heavy steering/power&hicas light on/occ funny gearchanges when damp. I presumed this was the speed sensor connections at first but the SS itself is quite new, a couple of years and I've had a play with the wiring (visual) and cleaned up the connector on it but no change. I'm reluctant to buy a new one or a set of UK clocks unless I know it'll fix it ;)

Next - I get bad brake judder (through the steering wheel - it jumps left and right) at v high speeds, like 80+, lower speeds are fine. Could this simply be a tracking issue? Might be related - the car sometimes feels a little... wandery at high speeds which is unsettling

Recently when flooring it the boost is slow to rise, much slower than before. Acceleration is too smooth and the brutal kick has gone. Peak boost is still the same but just slow to react. Also my stock boost gauge sometimes sticks on -7 for a few mins on start-up, where is the stock sender?

I'd probably accept 4k right now for the car, which would be a massive shame, but costing me £200+ a month to insure makes five months of ownership cost a grand in insurance alone. ****ing RX8s.

Thanks in advance

Pete

Ryan

stock boost sensor is under the hood next ot the AIV solonoid. It's bolter to the wing behind the little fuse cover, and should have an electrical plug and vac line to it.

Nice one thanks Ryan, I will sort something out with you  Disgraceful about the butties though :slap::D

Cheers James, will have a tinker :)

Just went and had a 4 wheel alignment done (FAO TonyC - Oak Tyres are v good), only charged me £18 as the rears didnt need touching. However the fronts were toeing out which explains the wandering around. Sorted out and now the car feels much tighter at speed.

Cheers

Pete

i'd have been happy with 4k for mine too and there was bog all wrong with it!!! note to self.. get over it , its gone!!!
