Will Houghtons insure someone on a classic policy as long as there 23 and over and especially if their Zeds are seriously modified?

Worth a go I suppose, i'll need to keep that in mind when it comes renewal time, to make sure I stay with them as an existing customer.

Well remembered as far as painting the bumper goes, I have not got round to it yet, I am going to do it (keep telling my self that) but I've been really busy....

I took the ZED to france in the summer with my girlfriend. 2500 miles, round trip. I discovered that the Jap speed limiter (still in place) makes an effective cruise control :) I was amazed at the fuel econ I got on the trip. On the french toll roads I sat at a constant 112 mph for 350 miles on less than one tank of fuel. I worked it out and thats about 36 mpg... (had to fill up many times over the whole trip though).

Its obvious now that these cars are at home on roads like those, not sitting in traffic during my trip to work when I get about 15mpg.

no idea bro but from what he told me you could get away with a classic policy on a unmodified zed at 21, if its modded then 23 minimum. even then its not guranteed, differs from person to person.

Ahhh crap, wats the point of having a modified car, u get discriminated left, right and centre!

Cheers anyway, when the time comes ill give them a call and find out for myself!

£1800 fully comp for an unmodded UK TT auto '94, what a bloody rip off!!! :( :( Cheapest I got though so I reckon I just bite the bullet and get it!

TPFT has been crossing my mind.... any sugestions guys?

I use elephant.co.uk and pay £633 TPTF for 10months (bonus accelerator) for a UK TT and im 23yrs with 0 ncbs....however i had an accident a couple of wks ago and am dreading it next renewal time!!

WOW!! I'll give them a ring!!! Ins is putting me off buying a Zed! Might just have to go the TPFT route.... Must be careful though!

yeah that price is based on u payin the lot up front and the car being standard. u can pay installments but its higher....i think i could have done fully comp for round 900 for 10mths....worth getting a quote off their site mate ;)

Just a word of warning, Elephant have good prices , but when you try and claim they are a real pita. Big time headaches. :(

I`m an old git now so 296 fully comp. (houghtons) thanx very much :D
