Have you got an induction kit fitted bud?if so under the h/lights there are two duct pipes which went to the original airbox, chuck these and mount the boxes there-means taking the bumper off tho'-just an idea-sure there will be others! ;)

Um, think you should take them out and give the lot to me.

I'd be happy to take those unsightly boxes and lights off your hands! :D

To get the best placement it's definately a bumper off job. Saying that, mine are still zip tied in the engine bay!

Dont think I can be arsed to take the bumper off until i get around to doing the intercooler water spray so I think I'll do the same, there is just enough space to ram all the bits and bobs in behind the headlights for now!

they really are the danglies at night! was amazed at how much light and the colour of the light makes a big difference, rather than the warm yellowish glow from standard healights its a really clean kinda white, most noticeable is how reflective stuff like the stickers on police cars and the tape on traffic cones positively glows back at you under the light!

Im sure it must add 10bhp having them fitted! :)

Which HID kit did ya go for in the end.

the set from superhids.com although I think chris at get greddy does something very similar now for the same or slightly less mullah.

the install was so easy, I dont know what slight mods other people needed to make to the rubber grommets/seals it all just plugged striaght in for me, no cutting needed.

Hi

Just looked on the superids.com website would you mind filling in the details for us

Are they 5.3k,6k,8k,10k,HIDs?

Was the straight fit to a UK or Jap 300ZX???

I went for the 6k rating, H3 bulbs, my car is a jap model, im sure they are the same bulbs for UK models. I also got the wiring loom for a few extra dollars, not sure if this is really needed but it replaces all the ropey stock wiring for the bulbs and the stock stuff is then just used for and on/off signal. (at least that how I think it works! :) )

before you order with superhids.com check with chris at getgreddy he does a pretty much identical kit and he may be able to get his mits on the sooner (plus you wont be playing the will I/wont I get charged import duty and VAT lottery)

I got the ones in the GB and now they are in they are litterally brilliant, but they were a real bitch to put in. I ended up having to take the lights out and saw off the entire peace that held the rubber shroud off. The cut 4 notches to locate the bulb holders then make two flanges to make a weter tight fit.

As with the law of SOD as soon as I got them fitted the kit your talking about became available. Still got to be one of thee best mods though.

Hello mate. Which ones did you get? Are they the same ones as get greddy can get?

I got the ones from superhids.com the kit chris at get greddy does is very similar but not from the same supplier (at least I think thats what he said...)

Chris is a top fella and if he says they are a good kit i'm sure they are but I cant personally say what they are like to install. The superhids kit however was a doddle.
