I have the standard UK rear wheels and I noticed that I have a crack on one of the spokes. It goes from one end of the spoke to the other but not quite meeting yet. I removed the wheel and looked at the other side and it is definatly cracked and not a surface scratch. I need to know if its possible to repair such a thing or just get another wheel?

i have had cracked wheels repaired before, but usually around the rim, not on a spoke. where abouts are you?

it will prob work out cheaper to get a 2nd hand wheel TBH

I'll have to look at buying another wheel then, was a bit worried about the safety of the wheel, dont want it disintegrating when driving along!

Cheers.

Should be fine at low speeds, but I'd get it replaced ASAP - you don't want it going at motorway speeds.

Someone here must have a decent UK spec rear they don't want. Ask AndyZ or PHNW.

Richard :)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Hellfire!!

Don't drive it with a cracked wheel.

Whatever happened to break it??

Its a good question, maybe a previous owner slid the back end into a curb? It's a bit of a mystery, don't know what could of caused this to happen, have only recently noticed it.

Hmm, I'd get checks done to see whether there's more damage

that you cannot immediately see.
