Lancashire Cops have got a Subaru Impreza Turbo in copper full colours. Saw it on the M65 today. Bit worrying?

There has been an undercover green Scooby chase car around these parts (Leicestershire) for some time now and, by all accounts, it's damn quick - caught a few of my mates anyway!! :(

Not caught me yet though!!

Oh bugger, if that's not tempting fate then I don't know what is - watch this space...

Noticed the other month when i went past Croft circuit that Durham police have an R1 motorbike in full police colours. If that ain't kickin the arse out of things ,what is

Yeah they take the piss, Ive seen loads of police mercedes, lexus recently.

One guess where all this excess cash is coming from?

Cos it's a damn site easier to convict a motorist than catch a burglar or a mugger !!!!

:xxx:

Yeah, they have to spend their share of the scamera partnership takings or it goes back to the government. They have gold plated troughs now in the local nick.

I dislike the camera partnerships as much as anyone, but the reason they've moved to silver cars and Mercedes/BMW/etc is that the residual values are much better. Supposedly it is more cost effective to get one of those rather than some sh*tty white Vauxhall. ;)
