im replacing my stock wheel with a momo evo millennium and have run into problems. im trying to work out what to do with the momo boss.

i've removed the original wheel, opened up the plastic surround and unscrewed the unit with the black 'dial' on the front (i think this is the hicas sensor???) and behind that is a white plastic unit with a few wires (obv. horn/hicas/cruise) coming from beneath.

(sorry im trying to upload photos but my software is messing me about! )

there doesn't seem to be anywhere for the momo boss to go. i suspect it's for a Z31 (a la halfords catalogue) but the chap spoke to momo direct and they assured him they would send me a Z32.

im still trying to send pictures but any help in the meantime would be much appreciated

ok here they are. the first one is how far ive burrowed into the column, the second one is supposedly the correct boss.

thats the wrong boss m8, it doesn't have the tracts for the C/Controls, just one for the horn

Take a hammer to it...

Are you wanting to retain hicas/cruise?if so you will have to relocate the cruise buttons[none on the evo?]or talk to mike feeney for a boss with the buttons in it-not cheap though!!

P.S might be interested in the boss you got-if it fits the column splines ;)

as I got a wheel for mine and aint bothered about hicas/cruise!

had the same problem when i changed mine mate. MJP do a boss with the cruise control buttons on it and horn. it fits over the hicas system so you can put that back but make sure it's lined up right. put on the boss and use the horn on the new boss. take apart the horn off the new streeing wheel and grind down the bagde to the size of the boss horn and glue it on so u still av the momo logo. think it was about £90.00?

i did want to retain cruice/hicas but wasnt really prepared to pay 100 smackers as i just wanted the new wheel on - thats why i settled for the £45 one from halfords (which didnt fit), and then save up for the propor one

im just waiting for the chance to get back to h/fords and get a refund, wait till payday then order a decent one from Mike.

u won't regret waiting it's a piece pi55 with the proper boss and like i said u can keep the momo logo to.
