Mrs Craig David runs a mountain bike forum which is like this (but about mountain bikes!).

They often get 'trolls' who just come on and post loads of rubbish* which blocks the site up.

Do we get trolls on here? Does somone get rid of them?

*arguably most of us do this

Do they like being 'mods' or not?

Mrs Craig David finds it a right pain in the a*** on the mountain bike site. She says "No praise when you do a good job, loads of shy*e when things aren't going well."

I know a poem about mods, but they might be a different sort of mod:

I'm a mod.

I've always been a mod

My father was a mod before me.

My coat is a Parker

My shirt is Ben Sherman

The boots on my feet were made by a German

Outside the window sits a broken down Lambretta

I'm going to fix it

When the weather gets better.

I recommend a more padded seat. HTH.

As an ex-mod: no, being a mod is a thankless task, mostly. What Mrs CD says is spot on.

I can't speak for the others, but for me, the motivation to pay / mod / get involved was because I got / get so much good advice from this forum that it was time to give something back. And I was asked, which is nice.

There's a lot of good people and banter here - which is also nice - but the main reason for bothering (and persisting) is "the best damn sports car on the planet" :D
