Bit of a wierd one this and totally not car related.

My parents have a bakery and are looking to do a bit of a refit and part of the refit is to put some stainless sheeting on parts of the wall where a lot of heat travels. Therefore, I was wondering if any of you good people here can get it/supply it at a good price!

Cheers

Depending on the heat involved have you thought about aluminium checker plate. about £8.00 for a huge sheet if you buy enough of it.

Just done my factory in it.

Fitzy

because it is food related it will most likely have to be made from 316 stainless to keep up with all the rules and regs. Is it just flat sheeting you wanted or will it require folding aswell

I can get the materials for you mate cut, fold and weld to any shape you want the only prob is your a few miles away from me

JD's-Z - Yes, more than likely will need stainless due to food and hygene regs, unless anyone knows any different.

He will be needing just flat sheets but they are based in Stoke on Trent. Quite far from you but I'm sure couriering it wouldn't be that much! How much do you charge?

I'll ask at my work what grade you can get away with, if you give me the sizes I'll work out a price and try get a price for courier to ;)

Ok thanks - also, I spoke to my old man last night and he wreckons that alluminium will be ok too but it has to be smooth. Are you also able to supply that?

He will be giving me the measurements at soom point today or tomorrow.

Is this Aluminium or stainless really hard to cut. What would be the best tools to use?

I can get hold of just about any type of metal available mate I would say ally is the easy one to work with and cut, I would use the guilotine from work to get a clean cut but you can also use a jigsaw if you have the right blades!

I'll need to know the thickness aswell mate

Aluminium=nice and soft. Stainless=tough cookie ;)

Sorry mate, just saw this thread.

Doesn't need to be very thick because it will only be used as a wall surface. Probably a couple of mil'.
