Fitting Kits for Bovs

I recently purchased 2 HKS SSQV Bov's from Chris@Getgreddy  which already had the flanges on ..but.. not the blanking caps and vacumm reducing pipe as the vacuum connection on the Bov's are smaller than on the recircs. Chris has kindly offered to see if HKS USA can supply these, but on the off chance does anyone know where I can purchase them? I contacted HiteQ in Wigan and they claimed these parts could not be bought anywhere, which I find hard to believe.

Also was wondering what size vacuum pipe is used for the original recircs?

Any suggestions welcomed.. & Many Thanks again Chris for your ongoing help ;)

I know Demon Tweeks sell reducing elbows and I also heard they did reducing join pieces.. but need to know what size the oringinal vacuum pipe is to the recircs in order to try and get the right one for the job... as for the blanking caps for pipe from the recircs to the induction I have heard of them being made up b4... and yet again Demon Twonks prob sell them too.. but again the size would be needed

Chris P... you also buy some and now can't use them... is such a tease having them sat in a box ... saying that is saying me money on fuel.. as Lady Smallfry will be out every spare minute in the ZX when she gets the dumps on :D

So to recap... anyone know the size of the vacuum pipe on the oringal recircs... and the size of the pipe for the blanking caps (from recircs to induction)???????? would be much appreciated so I can get some peace and get on with my own car ;)

Re the blanking caps, I got mine from B&Q cant remember exactly what they were called but they had two sizes - the larger ones are the perfect fit and they come in two colours white and black, they are made of quite hard plastic but block perfectly with a jubilee clip :D Sorry the description is pretty poor but I think they are something to do with a household radiator??? I just bought all different things and these fitted perfectly they come in a bag of two. Just look around in your store and you should find them. Only about a pound or something.

Hope this is somesort of help.

Helped out with fitting some of these in the past and from memory if your fitting the bov's down in place of the re-circs you neeed a small piece of

1 1/2 (38mm) hose and a blank in the end, slip the hose on and tighten with hose band and then tighen hose band around the other end that has the blank in it (b+q or plumbers shop) the vacum hose should be around 4mm and you can run this from the bov right upto the side of the plenum.

Are you bov's not new ones ?? as HKS do a specific kit for the Zed with all bits needed or you can fit them on stainless outer hard pipes in the engine bay which i have done for a few people and included silicone hose and vac lines etc.

If yer can post a pic of what you do have, i can try to be a bit helpful for yer.

cheers
