Right........ following the unanimous verdict that a hard bouncer would end Prince Naseem in a bar room brawl, what about a hard bouncer vs one of those guys of WCW / WWF american wrestling?

I mean bouncers are hard, but those wrestling guys are about twice as big and in way better condition. They may have bad blonde perms and lycra outfits but some are, like 6ft 5in, 35 stone and pure muscle. I reckon one of them would take on a tough door man, no probs.

What do you reckon?

(ps, if anyone is a wrestler, door man or Prince Naseem, I'd like to point out I'm in no way having a go at them !!! )

If the wrestler was a propper wrestler and not one of them girly WWF ones then yeah maybe.

But some door men are all show and no go (well in my town anyway) and there are others, who are half as big as the showy ones who can flatten any fooker.

Depends on how many fights and what situations the door man has had under his belt. If its just throwing out scrawny 16 year olds from a pub with three other bouncers in tow then he wont be worth shit.

As for the wrestler, like I said if its propper wrestling and he is 'trained' in submission fighting and boxing then he may win, but again depending on his experience and training.

TBH, put a experienced, old school door man against an experienced true wrestler would be a good fight. Having said that, we all know that the first good cross to the jaw that connects will undoubtably win the fight, especialy with no gloves in tow.

D'oh.. I was trying to make this a poll. Oh well.. here's some answers:

a) My moneys on the bouncer

b) I think the wrestler will win

c) One will start to win and get the other in a headlock, then the loser will escape, turn the tables on the guy who was winning and finish them with a 'clothes line' and a 'boston crab'

d) Why is Craig David always on about juvenile violence? I think it's him that needs the kicking.

p.s slightly OT but a chap at my boxing club told me to read 'Watch my Back' by geoff thompson, and it is such a good book couldnt put it down and I dont even read!

About geoff and his experiences as a kid and how affraid and picked on he was all his life and then how he overcomes it to be probably one of the hardest door men known!

Really gives you a good insight into fighting and so many other situations too.

I vote D, and so they say 90% of real fights start about 12" from the other person, so no chance for clothes lines or bostan crabs, more like headbuts, elbows, knees and biting / stomping. And generaly the first good shot swings the fight pretty much 70% in the first persons direction (unless they have a glass jaw!).

But its not big and not clever none of it is!

D? That's 'give Craig David a kicking'

Right, I'm off to hide in the women's toilet. If anyone tries it on I'll say: "I have a heart condition, if you hit me it's murder!".

lol, oh ok well A my money is on the bouncer.

Shall we hire two and have an illegal underground fight?

We could pay them with the entrance fee we will charge everyone and money made from bets!

I can box .. I boxed for my regiment whilst I was in the Army but you can't beat dirty fighting ... fookin wrestling .. all a bunch of fookin queers ...

I will lay odds that a decent bouncer will kick their arses .. BIG time

Everyone always seems to go for the bouncer. Are bouncers the hardest people out there?

What about the South African special forces? People doing quadruple life for multiple murders? Scandinavian biker gangs? Triad Snake Head gangs? People from Stoke on Trent?

D/l the highlight vid, gives a good few clips from some of his nice fights, I think some bareknuckle cage fights thrown in too.

He does look a bit tasty, that lad.

one of the bouncers in the city centre in bristol is an ex greek wrestling world champion. see him carry 2 6 foot blokes out 1 under each arm like they were dolls.

I saw Giant Haystacks intervied once on TV.

When asked if he'd fight Mike Tyson he said: "I'd mesmerise him with speed and technique"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He can't be that good, or this bloke wouldn't have beaten him - http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/fightfinder.asp?fighterID=162 ;)

lol

Yeh but that guy is a good fighter, and besides, he got that all important first corking punch, after that mirko didnt have chance to recover!

Also, fook me he took enough hard punches in those few minutes that would have floored the best of todays boxers!

Your forgetting that alot of UK bouncers are eastern bloc nutters!! If not their SA South African special forces giants with a screw loose! "Some" WWF wrestlers are not all show either!

wwf, men in liatards, but they a bloody huge . If they sat on you, your fooked. that big show his legs the same size as the average man

Exactly..... they're the size of a small horse. My money's on them. Or maybe the South African special forces.

well, TBH speaking of just WWF, its all rigged, IMHO they arnt propper fighters, they dont have the motivation that a fighter has to win in the ring as the outcome is all pre-arranged. They are like puppets, they take a fall when they are told to, and act a lot more than anything. And whats the stomping on the floor thing when punching? to emphasie fake impact.

Dont get me wrong, they are fit, and are trained athletes. But a lot IMHO are not fighters, mere fit actors, or sell outs who probably have lost / never had the edge.

Yes, I'm sure it's true what they do on tv is fake / pantomime.

But they are huge blokes who look pretty strong. And some are pretty amazing gymnasts. I guess gymnastics isn't really a fighting skill but they're kind of amazing all round athletes annd I reckon thy'd be pretty handy.

not every bouncer is hard ive spanked 2 or 3 in town.......always be wary of the bouncer not stood on the doors but inside about 20ft away hes usually the guy who is solid and is also the one that wades into you with a view of just getting you outside and not the the lurch who is big too scare but usually a numpty and easy to floor

anyway its back to eve now i hate unscheduled downtimes

lol addict!

I've read the geoff Thompson book, pretty hard bloke by all accounts especially after being shit scared of most people in his younger days!
