I'm ordering a 60k service timing belt kit (cam belt, pump, belts etc) from Concept Z Performance , it's costing around $330 with $75 shipping, so anyone have any idea what i can expect for import duty etc at this end? Assuming cost is declared to customs ;)

It averages around 20 1/4% on the total cost INCLUDING the shipping mate, so in your case approx 230 quid then additions of approx 47 quid and then any charges imposed by the delivery company if applicable, some do and some dont, that can be anywhere from 10-30 quid.

Just do what most ppl do, get it sent to a mate abroad, then get it shipped over, declaring it less than it is, risky? aye, but never had any probs.

 

Also you can always get another crappy parcel shipped equal weight (i dunno bricks or something) then send it as expensive value and claim back the cost lol.

Depends on what you have in size and weight,mine from conzept=$800 and zero in extras!! Its a bit of a lottery.

Exactly the reason I'm looking at emigrating to Canada. They pay highish taxes but you get a damn sight more for your cash and it's a hell of a lot better place to bring up a family
