very helpfull thx.Just a few things i couldnt find.

What colours there are

Whats the power output (standard)

What can you get for up to £8000 (u.k spec)

Just any rough ideas from anyone will be of great help thx :)

Hello mate, welcome.

You'll get a beauty for £8k!

Power: TT around 300bhp, depends on auto/manual.

Main colours are red, black, silver. But there are other

colours out there, just gotta look!

Welcome to the font of (300ZX) knowledge..... ;)

As already said, UK cars were '89 G (although rare that year - 1990 H was when sales really started) through to '94 L (and sometimes M). Most will have covered high mileages now, but there are still some nice low mileage UK cars around. In Japan they were indeed sold up to 2000

UK cars were sold in fewer colours too - red most popular UK colour (and it is the "designer's choice" BTW :D ), black, white, gun-metal, yellow and met. blue. If you want silver or any of the pearl colours then they are import only.

Don't be put off by import insurance, there are some specialists (eg Houghton's in traders section) who do not charge more to insure imports. You just need to shop around - the only advantage with insuring UK spec cars is the number of companies willing to insure you.

For £8000 you could get a late import, a top low mileage UK car would probably run to around £6K (maybe £7k from greedy dealers).

Good luck with your search

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Mines is up for grabs too...........UK TT, black.

:)

But it won't cost you £8,000!! ;)

Pics in the rides section under 'Matty'........:D

Matty.

:p Thx for the offers but iam going to get to grips with the ZX before i go looking at one as i would only end up wasting the persons time trying to find out all the stuff i dont know instead of just trying to buy the car ;)

So just out of interest whats it likely to cost me on insurance for both import and u.k cars iam 22 licence for over 4 years with 3 years NCB no points or anything like that thankfully and i live in a very low crime rated area in a village in leicestershire.
