just removed my rad out of my j-spec auto tt and noticed it has 2 oil pipes going into it on the same side as the rad cap. only problem is the one i bought off dave c has the same 2 oil pipes on the rad cap side and what looks like 2 more on the other side. is it the wrong rad.

Sounds like you've got a UK spec auto rad to replace a Jap spec auto rad. If that's the case it's not a problem, in fact it's a good thing because the UK spec ones have greater capacity/cooling area. There is no internal connection between the left and right oil cooling tanks, so you don't even have to blank of the unused pipes, but you can do so if it makes you feel better.
