because ive been trying to get the near side

turbo oil feed pipe off to see if it is blocked

it aint an ezzy job

but its off and blocked so atleast ive found the problem

now all we need to do is pop it all back together :eek: :eek:

If the oil feed was blocked doesnt this mean the turbo has siezed?? Or did u get to it in time? (Is this possible?)

 

I had this when one of my new tubs started smoking due to oil starvation, was knackered beyond repair though! :(

Yeah, should do. Remember to check the oil return too, it might be crapped up a bit as well.

Still smoking mate, it's not looking good, have checked pcvs, checked all pipes, oil and filter change, going to chuck saome of that oil treatment for softening up seal in it, dont hold out much hope. Looks like my winter project could be a turbo overhall!!!

Shunter i checked my pcvs thought they were fine.....................but purchased some from mike feeney any way and problem solved.

 

Moral of story i was all ready to buy tubs from smithy but thought hmmmmm 35 quid or 1500 :shock: so went for cheaper option and bingo no more smoke :dance:

 

well worth considoring bud

Maybe worth trying, thanks Yewcheck, i've been playing tonight, and it seems that the oil additive maybe helping, fingers crossed, if not, new pcv's, then start looking at turbs!!!
