Speaker issue

Chaps, the standard 13cm speakers that are in the car, what shape is the standard grill that covers the door panel? On mine it looks a bit bizarre, its got Pioneer g1316s which are pretty awful but the grill is round with a bit off to left making it more the 6*9 shape, bizarre when the speakers a round one?

Can anyone recommend some 'decent' 13cm speakers and has anyone got any of these grills if they are standard cos the guy who put the ones in on mine has really hacked it. Ive got a Kenwood 7080R if that helps with the speak hifi combo...

Thanks,

Rob

On my jap tt i had plastic moulded base boxes , y i dont know cos they did,nt make any base !!! , i,ve been told these were an option , they had built in amps aswell in the boxes , the amps had been bypassed having the speakers wired straight to the head unit , still sounded sh*t .

Iripped them out , made an MDF panel and fitted 9 by 6 speakers directly in the doors ,they line up with the original grilles and are a major improvement over the originals . hope this helps any. :)

thanks chaps got it sorted now..bought some infinity's from halfords and they aint too bad at all..that with the mongoose rumble ;)
