Mt friend has an auto box on his ZX and he is in the process of selling it, when something gone tits up with it - the revs are going high and the car is only moving slowly !

Any ideas ?

Ive never worked on an auto box before, but i assume its some sort of clutching issue - as with a manual box if it did the same thing ??

try the cheap option first m8

drop the oil AND pan, clean the filter, in case dirt has collected in there over the years, worth a go as long as he hasn't ragged the arse out of it trying to get it moved;)
