EvoluZion3 Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 Hi fellas, Ive noticed that when I floor the throttle in drive and the autobox changes up a gear, my BOVs dont dump - they only do so once i let off the gas. Does this mean that the box changes up so quick that there's no dump and therefore no loss in performance? The BOVs work fine - I know cos to sound like a car out of F&F ( :slap: ) I have to ease off the gas just before change, then step on again :mac1: (only when there's people watching tho) Quote
billynomates Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 no expert, but i would think when flooring all air/power is being used, so it will only dump when coming down and then dumping excess or maybe i talk b*****s Quote
ChrisC Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 On an auto you don't take your foot off the throttle to change gear so the dump valves have no air to dump! They will only work when you take your foot off ;) Quote
EvoluZion3 Posted August 24, 2004 Author Posted August 24, 2004 ok so stupid me here is now thinking: "this debate about removing recircs and replacing with BOVs loses you some performance doesnt apply to autos cos they dont dump until youve taken your foot off". Can this be right??? Quote
