Any tips on undoing the bolts etc. Any preferred tools?

Had a go using my 3/8th socket set, but only managed to loosen 1 out of 6 bolts! (down pipe to de-cat pipe)

Rather spend the cash on getting the right tools so I can reuse them than paying a garage for the labour.

try plenty of 3in1 oil spray and a ring spanner give the spanner a good slap with a hammer, failling that just grind them off and get some new stainless bolts, but use some anti scuffin paste with stainless bolts cos if the threads bind together you will never undo them!!

James these can be a right pita be careful as you can snap the studs on the downpipe really easily best bet is to use an air gun failing that a breaker bar with a gentle hand , either way a good dose of penetrating oil will help
