Moving house soon, so I thought I'd get a quote from a removal company and it was £500!!

I live in a smallish 3 bed house and am moving approx 2 miles, does this seem a lot or is this much normal?? (Always moved myself before, but now have all of Clare's stuff so need BIG lorry)

Anyone know of any reliable & cheap removal companies?

Yeah I would, but they don't make vans big enough, and we've gotta move on a weekday and most of my mates are contractors!!

Seconded

Thats actually pretty cheap, paid £600 to go from one side of basingstoke to the other! (3 bed house)

One of the removal chaps only had one arm, cant believe I didnt spot that when he came over to do the quote (honest I missed it!!!) I would have thought it would be a hinderance in that kind of work but apparently not, fook me could he lift some heavy crap with one arm!!!

WTF are you moving???

Grand piano and four poster bed?

cut em into smaller pieces ;)

£500 is a good price! I got quoted over a grand to move out of a 2 bed flat! Ended up paying about £700 cash. The best thing for me was that all the stuff was insured for accidental damage. You don't get that when two of your mates drop your widescreen TV...
