Anyone had any experience of a Triumph 955i?

I'm thinking of getting one and would like to know what to look out for.

What year and im guessing you mean the Daytona!

I'll be looking at around the 2000-ish type age.

Yep, Daytona not Speed-triple.

They are fine mate, the earlier one had a engine management problem that was on a recall.

 

Check the coolant bottle for gue as it could be an expensive rebuild. I mean, get your finger in there and properly check it, its located under the seat!

 

Rear eccentric (swingarm), check that its ajusters are not seized as that also can be an expensive repair.

 

Other than that, check all the usual seals, gaskets.

 

Personally i love em, cracking engine, good handling and the sound is beautiful.

 

I have never owned one but have ridden loads, and TBH if i can comftably get back on a sports bike, it'll be one of them!
