Nice day, wasps were a tad fookin mental,Donna and the kids enjoyed it,(wasps permiting :( ),thanks to John Dixon doing a Conzult, after which i did not run as it showed i have a prob with det sensor, especialy the wiring for it from connector,(bare wires, dodgy solder etc)and found that i had real bad split in hard pipe and they were very loose,so in all was running in saftey boost, but Z still seems very rapid so cant wait to get it on full boost :D

I think fasted time recorded was from John, think it was a 13.3,sure he will post the correct time,Chunk was trying to get a good one in but i dont think his Z likes the warm weather, somewhere around 14sec i think,Mike Feeny ran somewhere around 14.3 in his 350Z,Colin Ashford and Andy Pidgeon were around 13.6,.Next round in October, same sunday as JAP Performance Show, see you there ;)

The customary"whats that there then,mines not got that"gathering :D

Yeah, it was a good day, my best was 14.106, bit dissapointed but i was detting at about 5800rpm, was only putting out about 12psi to stop the det. I beat a 740i (Mwhahaha) Mitshubishi FTO, Crysler neon turbo thing and a Punto Turbo (Just) LOLOLOLOL, I was beaten by a R32GTR and a TVR Griffith 500 Just.

Will hopefully be there on the 10th Oct as i am having a op in late Sept!!

Thanks to JD, Mike Feeney ,Tony and me mate Dean for pushing me around all day!!!

Rich:)

Was a good day, definately go back some time.

Best I could manage was a 13.3, the other 5 runs were pretty consistient 13.5's couldn't get a very good launch.

Got beaten twice by a scooby with anti lag, thing was electric off the line (12.2) beat a couple of FTO's and an MR2 turbo.

Nice to meet the Z club guys too.

nice time John :) will hopefuly make it for the last one in October

PS out of interest, what kind of 60' times were you getting?

Lookin into getting some DOT approved drag radials if anyones interested? ;)

1.2? Christ that is mental!! John you need to get an auto matey ;)

That's one thing I can guarentee won't happen!! There are loads of things I could do to make it a better drag car, but don't want to compromise it for road/track use (big sidewalled 5psi tyres, softened rear suspension).

What sort of 60ft times do you get with the auto?

Be interested to go back on a day when there's not a strong headwind to see if that really makes much difference.

Mostly 2.3s, a couple of high 2.2s and a few 2.4s. Yours should be capable of a lot better than 13.3, what was your BHP/torque peak figures again?

Did you do any weight reductions at all? Spare tyre at least? And how much fuel was in the tank. Accidentally completely filling up on the way to Pod cost me 0.4s on avarage that day.

Did you see the appeal of drag racing, I know its nothing like track racing, but it gives a massive buzz doesnt it!

60ft times are about the same then.

Removed the spare wheel, but everything else was still in there, fuel tank was 3/4 full.

Did see the appeal, and it's a useful benchmark for any mods if anything else. Good day out, and cheap too. Not a patch on circuit racing IMO, but well worth doing once in a while.

I still had the spare wheel in, all my ICE, ME (about 6 stone heavier than you Shrimpy boy) about 1/3 of a tank, extra metalwork and a cast on my leg ;) and some tools which i forgot to take out.........Plus as John says there was a strong headwind.

Really am gonna start doing this a lot more!!

Roll on the 12's ;)

Oh and my 60ft times were a constant 2.4/2.5
