Whys this:

I overtook some plank on a bumpy road, pulling after the overtake (@about 45/second gear/high revs) the back wheels hit a bump and I aint kidding they must have left the road and bounced into the air a couple of inchs and bounced the back end of my car right out of line!!??

Huh? .... my car is lowered and on 18's.. and i had a bit of weight in the back of the car... is this a handling characteristic (the car always 'wibbles' at the back very slightly from side to side over bumps)?

Rear shock prob??.. am really getting towards the idea of sellin this car as it does NOT like the isle of wight roads

Hmmmmmm sosunds exactly what i had sena...

And its shox... bounce the back of the car and look to see if it goes down and comes up and stops or tends to wobble.. If you drive over a drain hole or sometign does the car wonder around left/right/forward...lol.. cuase then it is shox...pretty easy to fit

 

I changed mine on saturday and the difference is amazing, its like ownign a new car again... Now i can take on those irretating little thigns people call Porcees or whatever

Although it does sound shock related, check your tyre pressures just in case. My Z was really sensitive to dodgy pressures when I had the 18s on it.

Also check your rear tracking mate, mine was allover the shop, bouncing & skipping out.

a laser check showed it was 9mm out on toe in.

amazing differance when corrected.

This is the thing, when i asked about my car moving around, i got all sorts of technical replies... (almost sounded like dooms day was comming for my car)

 

Just go with the basics, first,,

ie check tyre pressures first and formost

then i would say get shock test done....

then then maby hicas arms, then bushes ect ect...

UK spec? If so, pull handbrake up one click to activate SPORT mode on the suspenders, I was advised by Misseur Ford that it was me shocks. Whilst out on a test drive(after me heater matrix fitment) and thus was demonstrated, makes an unbelievable difference!

 

I used to shite meself with my car, 4ws etc.??? Bollox, my car felt like it was gonna leave the road and go somewhere else every time I hit a mogul on the road. Not pleasent me IOW chum!
