Anyhows abit of messing and heres the result! :hyper:

Ripped the oe spoiler off today as well to fit t/gate skin, but thats another story/drama :(

As the pics show the fit is brilliant!

Nice one. Really interested in these so been keeping an eye on the thread.

Just wondered about the fitting, you say it was a bit of a bitch but then said the fit is brilliant. Could you just explain a bit more? Thanks.

Just bought mine. Hope they arnt a ******* to get on as that always ends up making them cost 3 times their price.

Cheers Dave ;) now I know!

Theres also a new version of these with 2 sets either side and is a 1 panel moulding.

cheers again Dave

Paul

I did'nt have any probs fitting them.

After I modified the back panel and cut out the metal where the lights were gonna foul I test fitted it.

The original bolt holes are used you just have to widen them a little bit so they line up spot on.

Apply some silicone to the edge of the panel to create a seal, then just bolt in the panel.

It is a fibreglass panel but double skinned, with an excellent finish..

cheers Jon...

Really like those, much nicer than the fiat ones. Is the panel metal of fibreglass?

Right when i got the panel i had to push one side in about 1/2 an inch-no probs there.Being f/glass,when it was baked to cure the paint i reckon it"straightened out" slightly as it was laid on a trestle to bake. When fitting after painting i had to push both sides in around 1/2 an inch.Just something to be aware of when baking.HTH ;)

Lead lit and not

Are those the usual LED ones Mark?

They look red in the second pic when all the ones I've seen are clear lenses?

I hated the clear ones + I wanted to use them as tail lights and they are too bright. So have bulb paint will change. I gave them several coats until I felt the light levels correct for tail lights. Then Two coats of lacquer.

When they're lit they look more like red rings than lots of LED bulbs in a ring. I binned the LED bulbs in the inner lenses for colour bulbs which work better. The only LED's I've got are in the top boot pannel and the spoiler which i'm thinking of changing when I fit my Flug wide arch kit for something more like the TDR S22 Celica spoiler.

Lights after first coat. P.S When I was happy with colour I fitted e, properly.

Cool that's what I've been wanting to replace my Fiat ones with.

I'm trying to get the same style as Skyline lights but I haven't seen any the right size for the rear panel.

If the outer rings are now tail lights, how have you done the brake lights?

I presume the centres are normally indicators, fog, reverse lights?

The centre lights are , outer = indicators, centre + LED in top Tail pannel and Spoiler are brakes and at the mo inner are reverse. If you look at the picy next to JD's car you'll see I made some fogs at the bottom which are also reflectors. I'm going to change that bit under the Number plate and fit reverse in there as well and make inners brakes or fogs as well.
