God I'm a bit slow sometimes...

I'd noticed that there was a bit of a dead spot on my accelerator pedal, but finally got around to having a look last night.

"a bit" turned out to be about an inch, and I found that my accelerator cable was connected to the cruise control throttle cam rather than the pedal cam :slap: .

A quick swap later, and there's no slack, the cars a lot more responsive, and I actually get full power :hyper:

Mind you, I guess the reverse mod is a simple change if anyone wants their car to be more of a cruiser than a throbbing sex-beast.

I guess that means that the accelerator cable should be attached to the larger cam? I'm sure mine is on the smaller one too. Think I'll pop out to the carpark and have a look!

Ooo I can't remember which was which now!

TBH I think it should be on the *smaller* one, but have a look at the service manual (e.g. online) and just make sure that it's on the correct side. Regardless of that, you should find that the cable only fits comfortably on one of the cams.
