Guys,

A lad at work with a standard MR2 Turbo reckons that he can beat not onyl my car, 300zx tuned to high 300bhp's, but alos kick the arse of any s14 on a 1/4 mile strip.

He also reckons that a standard MR2 does the 1/4 mile in 13.5s......

How can this be, my 300zx standard has a quicker 0-60 and 0-100, and yet he claims his 1/4 mile time is better than most 300zx standard 1.4 times of about 14 seconds......

What do u guys think?

I am def goign to race him just to keep him quiet I think!!

lol he's taking his time, probably photoshopping someone elses slips as we speak!!!!

>>Nitrous has only just in the past week been fitted (after the complete mare of trying to drill smithies pipes for the foggers, and hide the solonoids from the open eye of the rozzers on a bonnet pop :O!)

Why are your trying to hide it from the police nitrous isn’t illegal!?.

>>Why should I have to prove I have TC etc? it hardly cost that much, or perhaps it does to you, because your paper round doesnt pay that much and so its a life time investment.

I asked for proof of your ¼ mile not the purchase of your TC unit chump! The TC doesn’t interest me in the slightest I can get a car to go around bends without the need for electronic trickery to hold my hand! Life time investment; don’t make me laugh!

>>I don't run the 1/4 mate, never have, don't see the point in it, doesn't make you a man because you do, and I don't need to give a 16yr old wannabie with an attitude anything. Apart from the steam perhaps from my piss in the morning.

So lets get this right then Steve-O you claim to beat any Mr2 down on the ¼ mile and on a circuit but yet you have never had your car on the ¼ mile? I don’t care for the ¼ mile myself but it proves straight line performance with minimal driver influence over the outcome. I see not point in someone arguing their cars performance when they have never been on track to back it up. Its pub talk and nothing else! I see people like you all the time, act big in your car until it comes to actually doing something with it and you chicken out!

>>Perhaps you go on about the quater mile so much because you cant drive anything other than in a straight line?

As I said above I am bored of the ¼ mile and concentrate on the twisty stuff, believe me I can drive bends far better than I can drive a ¼ mile!

Good luck running TC with nitrous, your pistons wont like it but hey whatever! ;)

What are your 1/4 mile times then mr2? And in your own words with proof, no porkies now ;)

I bet it's not just slips, but also basque, stockings and suspenders that he wears too! Probably smears K-Y jelly all over his car to make it faster and more 'slippery' :hyper: I've heard that MR2 owners get discounts on K-Y because they buy it in bulk so much! :D

LOL I gave up back HERE on page nine!! :D

(quite content MR2 T. owner :))

So......... you reckon that might work??? :hyper: :hyper:

prove it

I no-where mentioned I have raced on the 1/4 mile? I said the 300zx in general is quicker, i've seen both cars run.

hmmm then you say....

You claim to have 400bhp/TC and nitrous

and then.......

I asked for proof of your ¼ mile not the purchase of your TC unit chump! The TC doesn’t interest me in the slightest

You said it I claim as in I havn't then you want me to prove it, then you say you meant just the 1/4 mile time? you dont even know what you said a minute ago lol.

Its pub talk and nothing else! I see people like you all the time, act big in your car until it comes to actually doing something with it and you chicken out!

That obviously because you spend so much time practicing this yourself, as i'd never heard of 'pub talk' you seem well versed in it lmao.

And you still havnt proved you even own a car, as said before judging by your mentality your not old enough to drive.

And by the way I love the way your biting its great, I can tell by the attitude and insults that i'm getting under your skin ;) I love it lol, go on get a little more wound up, nice to know im getting to you.

AdamR. My day to day driving is on UK A roads, my 150+ blitz's have been on German roads as I still go over there quite often and usually drive over to our Frankfurt office as opposed to Flying as it's a lot more enjoyable and I don't get lumped with a poxy A class merc hire!

Stop that, your sounding like tw@tcroft!!! :slap: :slap: :slap:

Moving away slightly from a MK2 turbo. Id gladly take your tanks on, in a MK1 supercharged MR2, yes well under 200bhp..... touge styleee baby. Hell, even an N/A would do the job.

'real men race downhil' - Keiichi Tsuchiya. In other words, your power is no good compared to a car that can really corner. Of course this is driver dependant.

LOL I gave up back HERE on page nine!! :D

I gave up and went to lunch (double egg burgers chips and beans ...hmmmmm) but now I'm back and see this is still carrying on! It's good 'ere eh?

Nah its funny mate, he's trying to wind us up and yet hes the one thats steaming lol.

Oh and the thing about using Nitrous with TC, have you got any clue? why would I even trigger nitrous whilst I was already having traction problems, clearly you driving skill round the twisties must be massive if you dont even know how and when to use power lol. Have you ever driven a car with nitrous? do you even know much about nitrous? it just so happens that a very good friend of mine owns his own business fitting and making the systems (engineering mounting brackets for the microswitches on the throttle body etc), which is who the kit comes from. And shock horror, he also has nos on his Z, but then, someone like you clearly knows more than me or him lmfao.

lol i dont know if you realise Steve-O but there must be quite a few people using the MR2 log on by now. I am pretty sure you arnt bothering that many people, let alone getting under their skin.

Leather wasn't standard on the MR2 either. And it was put togther by the chuckle brothers - rattle rattle.

Ahh I can see them putting in the engine now... to you... to me.... to you... to me....

lol funny, that gives me a complete tarred image of MR2 owners then cause it means you all speak like tossers and im still getting on all your nerves by the responses mwuhahahaha

Oi, mr2, isn't it time you gave the PC back to teacher? You little scamps these days

The Toyota MR2 is a mid-engined, 2 seater Hairdressing Car manufactured by Toyota Motor Corporation of Japan.

There are several opinions on the origin of the name "MR2". I haven't listed all the variations, but here are some of the most popular interpretations of the name:

"Mid engined, Rearpassagebandit, 2 seater"

"Midshit Runabout 2-seater"

"Mid engined, Rear passage, 2 seater"

"Midshit-engine, Rear-entrance bandit, 2 seater"

"Midshit Ricer 2 seater"

There are three different generations of MR2 commonly known as:

The Mark I (MkI or first generation 'the cheese wedge') produced from 1985 to 1989

The MkI production line includes the following engine types:

Normally aspirated under powered version produced from 1985-1989

Supercharged (with a unique hairdryer unit) version produced from 1986-1989 (1988-1989 in North America) at which time they stopped because it couldn't keep up with anything bigger than a 1.2.

The Mark II (MkII or second generation 'project Ring Bandit') produced from 1990 to 1995 (for North America, produced until 1999 when they realised it was shit in Japan and other countries and so stoped producing it)

The MkII production line includes the following engine types:

Normally aspirated underpowered version produced from 1990-1995

Super Hairdryer Turbocharged version produced from 1990-1995 (otherwise known as project 'stillcrap' & 'overhyped pub talk')(as patented by mr2)

The Mark III (MkIII or third homoration) produced from 2000 and still in production. This is the first convertible model of the MR2 and is known as the MR2 Spyder.

The MkIII production line is worse than the over rated turbo hairdryer model and so isnt worth mentioning in this review.

Fook off you c0ck - thats my car your talking about!

I've got more than enough first hand experience to rip the $hit outta 300's if you keep this up :nono: :xxx: :xxx: :slap:

arnt mr2's known to have rubbish handling. my uncle has one with fast road cams and other stuff and claimed a 0-60 in 5 secs. at the time i had a porsche 944 and we took both round castle coombe and i whipped his arse. he then tried to make out the i had lots of secret work done to my car.

I was on the m11 last week and some essex boys in a mr2 came along side, how old with there caps on lol, they were giving it large, so i pissed on em lol

'arnt mr2's known to have rubbish handling'

You guys are actually first class pros.

They should put you on the track. Oh wait, nah the single seaters have rubbish handling too. 'coz da enjin is in da wrong place'

actually its in the wet there crap, i apologise. it was a damp track i raced one on and he was really struggling with it. still dont handle as well as a 944 though even in the dry.
