Hi Guys just got a Nissan 300ZX TT Targa G reg 1989 model jap import in blue metalic! for £4000.00 to replace me 2.2vtec prelude!

Please don't tell me I payed to much you'll make me cry!!!

Its standard all round so the wheels are the standard ZX 16" runnin' 225/50-16"!

Now I wanna up the wheels to 17" and run 235 fronts and 255 rears! I've seen it on a H plate ZX. I've been told that the older model ZX has a naff off-set of about 18 so I'd need to space up by about 15mm to get any of the newer wheels!

The sort of wheels I was lookin' at were BBS LM but realised they're £400+ each just for the wheels!!!!!

So I'm lookin fur somethin' similar at about a quarter of the price!!!

Any Ideas?

Any one with second hand wheels fur sale(non standard)?

Any help greatly appreciated!!!!

hi, well i have 17s on my car and they fit no problmes, they fit fine have had no hassles with them and mines a 90, with regards to price it all depends on the car and its condition, youll get little arses on here telling you 2000 is to much, but i think the year is not really an issue, if the car is in good nick..

if i told you what i paid for mine, id have to go shoot myself in the head..

I'm running 17" BBS alloys got 235/45 on front and 255/40 on back ... No problems

I'm lucky got to know the guy that imports em get pissed alot!

 

Sold me the ZX fur wot it stood him in! now it aint immaculate inside but mechanically its good got the full jap service with it right up to the new cats fitted at 98,000KM and new turbo seals new rear bushes stainless silencers, battery etc!

So hopefully with a little bit of work it should be lookin good!

£4k is a bargain (unless the car is totally buggered), if I told you what I paid for mine 3 years ago then you'd think I must be mad !

I don't feel so bad now...

 

Mine is shit hot though - was already upgraded before I bought it; wheels/exhaust/induction/rear spolier/front apron/two kenwood head units (1xcd 1xmd) and immaculate condition

 

 

Hey T3RBO you didnt just buy yours recently in Plymouth did you Metalic grey/Black from 2counties 4X4 centreThe one they had up for £6995?Silver Gold BBS alloys Bloody great exhaust(sort of pipe if you got a suck back someone would lose their dog) Grey interior Greddy T Timer under the steering wheel, 2 silver Kenwood hd units etc???!!!!

It is all standard but it is a Jap import so!? They always got extra schemes over there!

 

Well if I tart the inside up and sort the little bits and pieces it could go out fur about £5995.00 fur a quick sale!!!

With regard to your question AndyP!!

 

Yes I think its the same except the bit in the front where yer no. plate is is grey on mine (soon to be doctored as a vent with mesh or somethin' similar) but the blue metalic colour is very similar! Including rear spoiler Wheels etc its even got Tokico suspension!

 

Does yours seem to change color depending on wot time of day it is gets like a purple-y shade in the evenings but dark when its bright & sunny!!

No f'in chance mate. Mines blue, I like blue. Quite like yellow, but hate red, hate white and only semi keen on grey & black.

 

PS No offence to anyone with a colour I don't like.

Mine is blue/grey as opposed to blue/purple. Downer is that on a day witn no sun, or after about 16:00 it just looks dirty. Lovely in the sunlight though. The official colour is something like Blue Pearl Graphite.

Is that Vauxhall Carlton blue?!!?
