Drip Drip Drip!!

People, please tell me it's not just me.

If the roof of the car is wet, I get the occasional drip coming through the drivers side seal between the door and roof join. Is this normal...

...And yes my window is closed.

Cos,

so......your window was up...but was your targa top on????? biggrin.gif . Just kidding.

No it's not just you. We are equally as lucky m8. I'll try to sort it out for you on sunday m8. Mine is almost fixed. It's a continual battle. Anyway, welcome to Z ownership...lots of little bits and bobs to sort out. It'll keep you busy for the next 6 months if you are luck.

Laterz,

Van

Nice one!

So I'm not the only one who carries a rag in my car then!

Easy resolve to this as I found out on a previous targa - tape a black bag over roof during winter months (or all year round if you live where I do)!

Can hardly notice it on a black car biggrin.gif

Stopped targa leaking...temporarily (of course)..now the window drips..top front corner....

How can I sort this one....???

I want to get the seats recovered in nice expensive leather...last thing I want is drip..drip...drip...drip.....Help!!!

Try smearing a dollop of vaseline along the edges of the rubber where the rubber meets the glass.

I've posted about this before but with no relies frown.gif

The pin that keeps the door glass tight against the pillar has broken, result, a gap opens at speed and the water gets in.

Has anyone done this job and if so any pointers.

Thanks

Tim

Off to grasshopper to get some vasoline...hes bound to have loads lying around!!!

Please dont use Vaseline or any other petroleum based products on rubber, over time it will degrade the rubber, make it very porus or just eat it away completely, Im not sure what else you can use. But not vaseline.

Yes perfectly normal, i believe this was an

optional extra on 89 -90 models but became

standard issue from 91 onwards.lol!
