when i get to 105 kmh and over i get a warning sound (sound similar to the alarm when you leave the lights on), does anyone know what it is?? and why it does it??, no warning light comes on, it`s just anoying not knowing what it is, hope it`s not serious :bow:

yea, we all have it, its the bloody speed warning.

 

guess someone should post a how too on getting shot of it.

 

you want to hear it at 150mph+

nothing serious mate mine does it, it is to alert you of the speed limit (only on imports) and you cannot turn it off !!

however there is a wire you can disconnect above the speedo if you take the little black panel off the wire should be yellow.

Have a look at the online manual on 300zx.org.uk and there are instructions.

I just turn up the tunes, seems to work.

I drove mine for a couple of months and never noticed it, beofre TonyC pointed it out and now I hear it all the time lol :rolleyes:

Forgot to say when looking at the online manual click on electrical and go down to interior heading and then you will see the instructions.

However i have always been to lazy to do it.

Check out the additional mod at the bottom... using the cruise control switch as a way of switching the alarm on and off.

 

I dont get it....The alarm is still connected when the cruise is off, and the alarm is dissabled when the cruise is on :confused: Whats the point in that??????? ie; If you are NOT using cruise, so you are accelerating, you go past 105mph, and the alarm comes on!! If you ARE using cruise, you have ALREADY reached your desired speed and are NO LONGER accelerating!!!! So the alarm wouldn't come on anyway !!!!!!!!! :tongue: Am i right, or what??
