Evening all,

 

I'd like to remove the restrictors that are in the stock exhaust but don't know where they are. Any clues where they are and how I can visually identify them? Also, how much pipe should I remove?

 

Jeff - I know you recently did this to your exhaust, could you put me in touch with the company that manufactured your new pipes please?

No Stuart, there are restrictors somewhere between the Cats and the back boxes and I'd like those removed.

Hi Danny,

 

When I gutted my CATS, I noticed that inside the exhaust tubes, (that go to the back boxes), right near the end - there's a couple of washer type things in the tube - I guess these are what you are referring to. [However, I've not disassembled the rear section].

Yes, those are the ones I am referring to! When I'm looking at the exhaust from the side of the car how far back from the back boxes were these washers? And for what length did they go on ... Sorry for the questions but I'd really like to know.

I don't know how quickly you want to do this, but I am planning to replace my current centre section exhaust, from the cats to the back boxes. They are Scorpion straight-thru Stainless Steel T314 tubes without any of the std restrictions. They are a bolt on replacement. But I won't be selling them for a few weeks maybe 2 months yet. If you're interested.

The restrictors are about 1/2 inch from the end - so dead easy to see. I would hope there are only one set of these in the whole assembly.
