When my top rad pipe let go on the M5, snapped off. pretty explosive.

I thought it was just the plastic top conn. had failed.

Its a 91 NA auto by the way.

Getting replacement rad. but had a thought that it might be the head gasket??? causing excess pressure!

AA made temp conn. and got home OK, no further water loss, but eventually leaking again as not much left to connect to. left rad cap loose so no pressure build up.

Anyway to check other than to fit new rad and see what happens?
