Just imported myself a late 1994 Twin Turbo and am slightly confused. I see posts about adding an aftermarket boost dial as they are not accurate, but my car does not have one at all on the speedo dial! Is this normal??

Featured Replies

later turbo cars done away with the gauge (series 3/4??), they then went back to it later still

You sure its a turbo? ;)

Some later models didnt have a turbo gauge, but I think that started about 1998.

yes its a turbo! Glad to hear that some dont have the dial puts my mind at rest.

Have been considering what to do to it before putting it on the the road. I have 8 weeks to spare as it wont be 10 years old until then and its not worth doing an SVA for the sake of a few weeks.

I have decided to get a 1999 front bumper (best price so far £300) 1999 indicators (best price so far £50). Not sure about side skirts and rear, do people usually bother? Does it lokk much better with these as well? Will leave the rear spoiler as it is the later raised type.

Also wanted to get a chip from what I have read on the site I am best getting a Jim Wolfe one? (best price so far fitted with jets £340)

As for induction is Apexi the best option? (best price so far £120)

Finally exhaust, as mongoose is just around the corner from me I called in and they said they would do the 3" twin pipe cat back for me at £460 is that a good price?

I would welcome any advice on what to get and where to get the best prices as I want to get all of the bits in the next couple of weeks.

PS not sure if it matter to the modifications but its a Auto with 30,000 miles

for one 99spec bumper looks sweet IMO

apexi induction is most peoples choice including myself [just fitted]

once your a subscribed member you can see danny in the traders section and hes reduced apexi kits to £100 so for the £20 subsciption fee to this site you have knocked £20 of the best price you have found.

once subscribed look in the rides section for styling your z!Some have full bodykit inc f'/bumper,skirts,r/bumper and to remove the oem spoiler thats prone to cracking.Others like the standard look :)

chips can be got from traders on here or members which are equily as good as jwt and cheaper

exhaust is down to opinion mongoose in a nice sound but IMO looks skinny :nelson: good luck with the z

greg
