Hi all.

1) I've noticed that there are 2 radiators in the engine bay - one with most of the piping (at the back towards the car), and the other towards the front of the car from what I can see only has one pipe into it. What's this one for?

2) I've picked up a small crack in the bottom corner of my radiator - where the metal meets the black plastic side-trim. I've recently (say 2 weeks ago) swapped my standard rad cap (1.2kg/cm2) with a Nismo rad cap (1.3kg/cm2). Would this slightly higher tolerance in pressure have caused the crack or is this a wild coincidence?

Cheers!

1) I'd say that the one towards the front of the car was the air-con conedenser. If you take youe headlight panel off it should have a fan on it.

2) Dont know mate. Have to wait for the tech heads to get here

yep one nearest engine coolant rad,the one in front a/c condenser,as for the cap-prob just coincidence the higher rated cap will allow more pressure buld up before release so-GET THE CRACKED RAD SORTED ASAP!!

cheers :)

Right I took the radiator in for reconditioning including a new core yesterday - apparently the core had to come from Glasgow (bit of a contrast to Japan or the USA!) Anyway hopefully it'll be ready this afternoon. Let's see what happens...

HEY,

Nothing up with Glasgow !!!!

Apart from the fact it p****s with rain most of the time !!! :nono:

hehe nothing wrong with Glasgow - just the last place id expect a Z part to come from! :)

On the radiator front, unfortunately there was no crack in the bottom corner like i thought - instead the tank(?) at the top of the radiator had burst and the water was dripping down the inside and out the bottom. SO this guy is going to build me a new one from copper (better than the original plastic one apparently). Would this be an ok thing to do?
