I guess the GTO must of been in reverse for you to go by, lets face it ,if it were only parked it wouldn't of been as impressive.

what GTO's you been racing? i've never had a problem wasting them unless its wet from a standing start. even when my tubs were smoking really bad it still killed my next door neighbours GTO (chip, induction, single 5" zorst, boost controller)

Supras are just slightly slower but can keep the Z in sight and the driver will make more difference than there is in the cars.

scoobys are a great car till anymore than 40mph when they lose their grip advantage and go backwards very quickley and as for sierra cossies, skyline GTS, etc... its like a Z with 2cylinders and a turbo missing, a higher centre of gravity and worse aerodynamics. course its gonna lose. i have to wander about the M3 EVO and AMG mercs though. i have been in a few and i think the M3 is quicker than the stock Z. the big AMG's also would kill a Z on a long straight (a C55 did mine and mine was at around 370bhp at the time).

as for the porka's and ferrari's its a case of which model. a lot of the newer ones will have the Z just on power/weight and their handliing ability. Boxters are no prob and get eat but then they come to a corner and they are very impressive.

anyone raced a TVR Cerbera? i tried. it walked away like i was in a diesel. VERY fast car.

on the good side, before i blew it;

Escort + sierra cossies

scoobys

evo 2, evo 4, evo 5

S14 sylvia (good race. i was surprised)

integra type R, civic type R, accord type R, NSX (dont know which model)

nova 2.016v (baaad, maaan) lol

corsa 2.0 turbo (another chav)

supra turbo mk3

RX8, RX-7 (batmobile one. dont know what model)

yaris 1.5 (made £20 out of that. he really thought it was fast lol)

a grandad in an audi S3

many more but i cant remember them. gotta fix it and do some more.

 yes it is, look http://www.gpab.net/jerrys_audi/

PSML, good find bud!. It only took you since July ;)

Got to say I agree with siraff, I was following a faily new M3 last year and couldnt keep up on the straight, having said that my engine had 140,000 on the clock and no mods at all at the time.

I am sure I read performance for the M3 is the same as the Zed, anyway Ive just run a new engine in and added Zorst and induction, just waiting to sort a few niggles out before I fit the boost controller etc, I am sure the situation will be a lot different then,

Public Service Message to the Corrado which tried to outdrag / outbrake me from the A4 (BA junction) to the Longford roundabout last night. There isn't enough grip for you to get round that roundabout if you leave it that late! Nice pirouette matey :nono:

I've "done" quite a few tasty motors on the brakes.

Partly cos my Z ain't that fast and partly as it only needs bottle rather than real skill.

And I regularly cane a mate's Boxster through corners but that's 'cos he's a bit of a soft lad.

Chunk I'll see you at the Pod :mac1: - picking up my new T28 baby on Sunday :hyper:

:D

Shame its only 1800cc :D:D:D:D:D

Seriously, nice one mate, glad yer back in a decent motor again! :D

I got beat by a Sierra 4x4 off the lights last night... :(

No more traffic light grand prix's for me, can't get enough grip... :slap:

Blew the bastid away on the duel carraigeway though, but by that time I knew he'd already called all his mates to say his piece of crap is faster than a ZX... lol :headvswal

Boost @ 13psi, for now ;)

Lovely bodywork and interior.

I believe its running just over 250FWBHP/290lbft but I'll soon sort that out :D

Oh man, I'm gutted for ya, nothing worse that that! :o Lol

What another pi55ing contest?

Standard Z are quick in a straight line, but there are plenty of quicker cars out there. + Most of the fast new iron handles better than standard Z's.

I agree with above + I think the boxter is one sweet handling motor, but you can get the Z to handle almost as good.

Most importantly though it comes down to driver ability in most cases and I'd love to organise a proper outdoor Karting day, with proper 400cc karts on a good track and see how good some people here really are at driving.

Anyone up for it?

Its not another Mark... check the date of my original post ;)

Oh ya :nelson:

Still think the Karting weekend be a good weekend meet.

What ya got? A Mister 2?

S13, I'll take some pic etc on Sunday when I pick her up

Cool, I am thinking down that route for my next motor. Welcome back to the land of Nissan. Not sure you really ever left ;)

its all about power to weight and traction

Got my ass kicked by a heavily modded Evo 2 the other night of the line - but as soon as i got into 3rd gear i nailed him.

4wd traction is unbeatable 0 - 60

My rears spin like tops of i nail it off the line - lots of smoke tho woohoo

Oh ya :nelson:

would defo be up for this mark
