Tell me your car is about to get painted? It must me almost there now bud?

Mac its got to the point im about to give up on the fvckin car, iv just had enough!

 

From dealing with shitheads and ****ers to sort out something that is so simple and that the fact that they tend to lead you on and waste your time is really starting to get to me!

 

All that is left is for someone to sort out my prep and spray job, the prep work is huge and i want it done properly, i offered 2 companys that they can get a free plug on the car and they give me reasonable prices but due to them being timewasters iv been left with a project car that should have been finished in april!

 

This project has been a big mistake for me since day 1! I see all the other zed owners on this forum enjoying their cars and i cant even do that! Its coming to the point where im gonna burn the fvckin car so i dont need to stress 24 7 over it!

 

Customising a car so that its different is the biggest hassle in the world, im gonna stick to off the shelf bumpers from now on! The only time where things went ok was when it was with duffer as he was well sound about everything!

 

Iv rambled on a bit i know but im seriously pissed off right now and sooooo fvckin fed up!

 

Is there no company out there that wont fvck me about and still give reasonable prices, im starting to doubht that its a myth to find a company like that!

 

Sorry if iv givin you a headache but iv just taken my frustration out on the damn keyboard

dont give up Fas - i know how you feel, my zed has now been off the road since February but i can see light at the end of the tunnel.

 

Yours is going to look great when its done - i'm dying to compare the front of your and mine - both having big intercooler vents -

Fas My car has just cme back from PPS again and Peter has once again done a top job.

 

Peters not around this weekend but give him a bell next week mate and get it booked in, it's about 300 miles up there which I've done in 3 & a half hours but willl proabably take 4 and a half at a sensible speed, then it's a 45 min £30 plane trip back to stansted.

 

Peace of mind and a finished car mate, that's all you need and peter's your man.

Just look at how many of the Z's on here have been done there and see the quality.

 

Oh, my car took 9 months to get the bodywork finished followed by 18 months of engine/gearbox conversion! :shock:

Im flying out on a business trip on monday night for the week, im gona give him a call on monday mornin and have a quick word with him and see what happens!

 

I did first consider him but hes so far up north and wont be able to check up on the car as much as i would want, but alot of the Zeds have been done by him so i may just give it to him!

 

Cheers Guys, sorry about the rambling but its been nearly a year that i havent had my Zed! I so envy you guys, i seem to have all the shit these days!

i would think a couple of weeks - the deadline was today but since i've missed it there is no great urgency - i want SE to run my engine in the bench dyno - the bodywork is just about ready for me to inspect before it goes in to the paint shop.

Yes mate SE are doing all of my work - yes i think they are a bit expensive - I wouldnt want anyone else to build me an engine and because the car is there i thought they might as well do everything for me - there is a lot to be said for a 'one-stop-shop' - I've had loads of visits where me and PeterR have sat down and worked out exactly what i want the car to do and to look like and i dont think there is another garage in the country that would be able to do that.

 

I could get one garage to build me a forged engine, one garage to set up the engine, one garage to fit the bodywork and prep, one garage to spary paint and maybe i could do it a bit cheaper but i'm not sure if it would be done as well and even if it were it just isnt worth my time running around trying to get everything sorted. I also get the benefit that if there is a problem with anything in the future its under one warranty.

notice your car the other day out side your house ( maybe?).

I've been waiting nearly 2 years now for this guy who is going to do some work for me, he's surpose to be realy good, so I know how you feel about waiting and being told stuff. The car is under a cover in the front drive collecting rust.

The only differance is that the work being done is not on my 300 but it is a Z.

So may be we both should start looking around for someone new to do the job.
