i have a bit of a problem havnt had the car that long all seems fine mechanically even got a new HKS superdragger on it but both the cats are dead so as this is an import can i de cat it or do i need to replace them and any idea where as the local nissan dealer wants an arm and both me legs :confused: :confused:

AFAIK, only cars after 1/8/1992 (ie K reg onwards) must have a cat fitted.

 

Although if you do de-cat and your turbo rear seals are on their way out, don't be surprised to see a cloud of blue smoke following you every time you boot it......

ok well mine is a K reg but i thought imports were exempt if not wheres the best place to get a system in the birmingham area :confused:

As it sounds like you need cats...you could always try high flow cats which are available from MJP.

Am considering this myself...bout 200 squid a side so with a cat back system...under a grand...or you could go on holiday for a fortnight all inclusive on the QE2??? :confused:
