Recently when I try to open a link that pops up a new window, it won't open.

A new IE window opens, but it dosen't open the pag, just stays blank.

When I close it I get a message saying this may be due to a pop up blocker.

Any ideas

sorry accidently pressed enter lol, as I was saying, sounds like your fire wall may be blocking cookies that the site wont allow the new window to open unless it slaps a cookie on you, otherwise your ad blocking could be cranked right up to allow no pop ups, and any other window than the main IE one popping will be blocked.

Yes check your firewall settings - this is certainly an option in Norton Personal Firewall.

Sometimes a corrupt page can be held in the temporary files cache.

Try going into the IE Tools menu then Options and click delete temporary files.

Have you installed the Google toolbar?

That has a popup blocker built in that you can turn off.

good man, firefox is much better, no more security vulnerabilities either, the last exploit found in it was fixed the same day, the same exploit was found in Ie and it took MS a week to issue a patch which didnt work properly.

Been on firefox for a while now....better...lots better...faster loads...faster paging....by the way MARTINFA.....nice Z...yours..?
