Car chase, Car chase, Car chase, deep looks, Car chase, Car chase, Car chase, Car chase, deep looks tough guy dialogue, Car chase, Car chase, Car chase, Deep looks - yawn......

Gone in sixty seconds at least held some interest

Ronin, cannonball run ;) Gone in 60 seconds, F&F and the italian job (old and new)..........sure there are more but I can't think at the moment!! :p

strange fact...one of the lead drivers in both TAXI and RONIN was killed by a lone english football fan on a train in southern france

Vanishing Point is an absolute classic and I liked the remake even more but it's not available to buy as far as I know.

Peacemaker - the George Clooney/Nicole Kidman stolen nuclear weapons action movie.

A BIG Merc ramming the shit out of a load of Beemers. It's an AUTO too!!

The French Connection.....that was good too!

The 1966 film, Grand Prix - seeing / hearing those old F1 cars speeding around the old circuits brings me over all teary. That's from playing too much gpl over the years, not 'cos I'm an old bugger...

Ronin. Top film.

But sury guys. Bullet. Steve McQueen, San Fran .... Nuff said

often mentioned...bullet...but TBH...i found the 15mins chase a bit tedious when viewing it the otherday.....still i'm surprised no-one has popped for Herbie yet....:)

Dastardly and Mutley do Dallas! Doubt if there is a film called that , but there should be! LOL! :p Just looooved the Wackey Racers!!

Dick_n_Mutt.jpg

the ORIGINAL gone in 60 seconds, that 45 min chase at the end just rules!!!!

anyone seen two-lane blacktop starring James Taylor?...he of the music fame too...its a cult film set with illegal road races betting for each others registration docs...nice quirky film IMHO

duel...a spielburg classic...there was a copy-cat movie called the highway fiddler...it had wait for it....a nut in a gmc truck with an extra engine in the passenger seat...and he played strange manic fiddling music when he rammed the victims off the road

Hate to say it but some of the chases in Fast and the Furious where good. Not the first street race, when a 1/4 mile too 2 and a half mins, but the one with the truck and the chase with the Charger and Supra.

The truck chase was good because they where traveling at some speed and not like most films where you can see they are only going 30 - 40 mph and they doub screeming engines over it.

mistake....it was death car on the freeway (1979)

quote....(I) also enjoyed the movie's storyline about a deranged killer behind a black van with a penchant for fiddler music who targets women drivers travelling alone on the Ventura Freeway in California.....

lol...sounds great...i'll have to check the channel 5 listings

the Transporter start off well..... then went all ...... french

i have a liking for the dated smokey & the bandit films...the uncut versions had some excellent one-liners/swearing from the sherrif buford t justice...(jackie gleeson)

  • Author

some quotes...from the sheriff who is on his cb to another cop..."shut-up...(to his son)...one sh@t at a time".....then later on to his son again..."there is no-way you came from my loins"....and the immortal..."son when i get home i'm gonna punch your momma in the mouth"

Erm........what was that film called........DUAL. Classic.

Is that the one with the truck driver who just has it against some one because he over took him?

David Mann is trying to drive his car across California. When he tries to pass a gas tanker, the driver somehow takes offence. At first the unseen driver just annoys David by continually passing him and slowing down. Then he starts playing mind games with David, tempting him to pass the tanker, only to prevent him when he tries. The story is seen from David's point of view, with commentary as he thinks to himself.

so say the imdb

trivia...the man in duel...his real life son was in the film Grand Theft Auto...a truely bad film which saw the directorial debut of Ron Howard...who went on to better things...but stole a great movie name which will have the computer game makers spitting should they consider a film themselves
