I like them, gotta go with the rest of the look - ie not on an otherwise stock looking zed IMO. V expensive I think though.

not my thing really, jason (neperformance in the traders section) is the carbon-fibre king on here, try him for prices

LOVE THEM !!!!!1

iam still waiting for mine to come from ne performance as theres a delay in the catch for them they cost £350+

There are advantages with after-market bonnets. The main one being they help the enigine bay vent better. However, whether you opt for carbon or glass is a matter of personal taste, choice and budget. The carbon fibre ones are much tougher and less prone to warping or being written off by some impacts. Fibre glass is brittle and can warp and bend.

I guess it also depends on what kind of finish you want.

Thanks a lot for your advice, sounds like it could be a goer for me. If any of you are at the Reading meet my car is now fixed so I should be there.

If you're looking to save weight I believe the stock aluminium one is the lightest!

no, c/fibre will be lighter than aluminium, but Al is lighter than steel.

% of the car's total weight it's the square root of bugger all though. Had the bonnet off mine the other day - I knew it was ally but I hadn't realised just HOW light it is!

Just make sure you take a poo before you drive - saves the same amount of weight:)

Only thing i know is that if u go for fiberglass u should put a very good insulator because they sometimes melt from our engine heat
