pay up dude. yer busted

you have to fill in the bit that says who was driving. Just don't sign it. Then send it back. HTH

whats that for tack... just to delay it ?

As far as I know you can still do this. There is no legal requirement to sign it. When you send it back unsigned, they cannot process it. So it does not delay it. It goes no further al all.

No chance, recent stated case says it doesnt matter if it isnt signed or dated (and if it aint returned its all over for the registered keeper. )

I will try and dig out a reference to this ruling and have seen it on the safespeed web site.

Yeah dig it out if you can. I realise you must send it back, but as I said this rule about not signing may have changed. It was a loop hole in the law. Maybe they've closed it.

it was a footballer whos agent signed it on his behalf, and it was ruled as inadmissable evidence - there's no specific legal requirement to sign the form in question, but you'll get shafted a million other ways! But if it's not returned, I don't think it's necessarily all over - unless you are required to send it by registered mail!

if your the registered keeper, your paying. so pay up befor the cost goes up.

I got stuffed overtaking a drunk driver, how do you prove that. cant, so had to pay

What if i write that my uncle who lives abroad came to the country and drove the car. i could fill the form in giving them his name and address. He is unlikely to be come into this country.

ask for the piccie 1st - make sure theve actually got the photographic evidence there.

my mate done this, they obviously didnt have it & dropped the case.

depending how much balls youve got, you could also claim it wasnt your car, but an imposter with your plates on (it *could* happen ;) ), as if its a rear facing photo theres no physical evidence that its you driving!!

i got off a speeding and light jumping

said the car was for sale and being test driven and that i have no idea who the driver was

it took about a month but got off it

Firstly i have a pink letter with only the name and address of the central ticket office. it states on the letter:

"the central ticket office does not have authority to review cases with mitigating circumstances. The office will not therefore take up any personal correspondance. in all cases you must complete the relevant sections of this form and return it to the address shown"

so does that mean I tell them some one else was driving and i dont know their address and then wait for a response. How do i ask for pictures!!

Secondly, I was APPARENTLY caught on "A45 (south) Fletchamstead highway (BURNSALL RD)....now the problem is that burnsall rd is actually off the A45 and i have never been down it!!!.....these means it must have been a mobile unit! but the point is where was i supposedly speeding A45 or burnsall road!

any advice!!!!!!!!!!

thats what i did mate.

Amazing how many experts there are on this...

Lie to the plod...attempt to pervert the course of justice...imprisonment if u r unlucky

you may have to justify everything you tell em...

Test drive...bet they havent come across that before...

Long lost uncle from Oz...same again

Ask for pictures...might have been a plod with a laser thing.try yer luck in court

I had a mate once who ....(......)...

Not having a go mate..just saying there are consequences...hey..we all get away with what we can.... :)

I stick to limits like a frustrated lesbian to a dildo (can I say that?)

Lets face it, we can all do fast in a straight line...easy to get carried away I know!! (Check my rides....why do I still have a licence???)

I prefer the Z around bends & country roads....wasting some

:xxx: who thinks they know better (and I aint modded like some of you guys....(not enough cash!!!!)

I reckon people know the Z is a better car (despite its age) than most modern pieces of sh*t.

OOhhhh....love my Z :hyper:

:nono: If you Cant do the Time Dont do the crime :nono:

"from a police officer" who speeds :slap: (my Mrs)

you could say there is a time and a place, a 40mph limit isn't it......as stated before in other posts if you do a search, failing to supply the info is now an offence aswell, stating it was someone else !!! you will still be held responsible and get the points and maybe a fine for not supplying the info.

Throw it in the bin mate where it rightly deserves to be!

Failing that you could take a look at http://www.pistonheads.com

and click on forums, then 'speed, plod and the law'.

There are some interesting threads there, i remember one recently about a guy who tried the 'relative from abroad was driving' response to the NIP, he had lots of questions from the police but end result was good for him - no conviction.

Try a search , if you cant find it post here and i'll find it for you later,

Cheers,
