what makes you thinkthey are not working? does your boost gauge move?

  • Author

no scoops its not moving thats why i thought they arent working so m i right then?

But how does the car feel - if your turbos aren't working you WILL know about it

And you should be able to hear it go off boost very definitely, even without BOVs...

Gauge connector might be borked after standing for so long - might be all your problem is!

Or maybe he meant the -car- isn't moving

BTW I'd get some fresh fuel in it soonest!

So far we have deduced that something isn't moving and it hasn't moved for 18 months.

This has to be the vaguest post we've ever had.

Next question:

Are the wheels turning? Yes/No

If its only reving to 2500rpm it sounds like the MAF, try cleaning the connectors.

Yep MAS is goosed....

If you're going to ask a question you need to be a bit more specific!

Saying your turbo's aren't working then a vague post about no it's not moving is about as much use as a chocolate fireguard.

It sounded like the car wouldn't move or something.

If you'r turbo's weren't working it would be running rough, stalling etc.

Try taking your Z to a Nissan dealer and saying "it's not moving" and see what funny looks you get.

If it's only going to 2500rpm it will be the MAF (air meter sensor) under the panel between the headlights that's either gone faulty or has bad connections.

Chris.

Aye bet -those- connectors have rotted. Now if Ibran had mentioned the rev limit in the first place...

Ibran, there's a writeup SOMEWHERE that tells you how to get to the connector etc but I can't find it with a quick search... have a look yourself for MAF and/or AFM...

check your air filters, might be totaly clogged up and the maf could be holding back the revs , is it ticking over OK no rough idle , will it rev with the clutch dipped ?

The ecu puts a 2500rpm limit on as a saftey mode if theres an electrical fault with the MAS ;)
