June 29, 200421 yr Everyones talking about this film/documentarary elsewhere on the net, so thought i'd start a thread here too. For those who havnt heard about it, http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0361596/ I downloaded the cam version of it on saturday, and well, having now watched it I thought it was pretty good. Some of it is a bit shocking, especially if you dont keep up with whats going on with iraq/afghanistahn. **** mr bush, **** mr blair!
June 29, 200421 yr It has been proven to be a total sensationalist phallacy. I'll watch it objectively. But when you watch just try to imagine that Micheal Moore is just another politician spinning his lie. I liked Bowling for columbine, but I spotted loads of Bull in it. Like making out that Charlton Heston & the NRA visited a town immediately after a little girl was shot in school by a little boy with behavioral problems that stole his fathers gun. They didn't infact visit this city more than two years after the incident, and it was part of a tour. and that city was part of the yearly tour that they ran and cancelled it the previous two years out of respect. I'll watch it with an open mind, but I am prepared to look at it closely and look out for blatant sensationalism. Also bear in mind that Micheal Moore will not go on any of the major US chat shows to discuss the film for fear of being ripped to shreds.
June 29, 200421 yr i love the bit in the trailer when bush is on the golf course talking to the cameras and says: "we will join together to fight these terrorists and bring them to justice. now, watch this drive." and whacks the golf ball!
June 30, 200421 yr Author Goit, fully agree. After watching I did feel like I was being fed more crap. However, It would be hard to forge video taken of george bush, of the bin ladens in the US, the guards outside the saudi embassy etc. He didnt actually reveal much that is new, he just peiced it together, in his own way or not, i dont know :P
June 30, 200421 yr Yeah he's apparently pieced together clips to make them look sinister, and yes bush does have links with the bin laden family, also note that the bin laden family disowned their son about 1997. Apparently (as I haven't seen it yet!) Moore has taken a load of the cobblers conspiracy theories floating around at the time of 9/11 and turned them into a film and lefties (liberals as US likes to call 'em) love it, Right wingers say it's BS, and middle of the roaders say it's 'interesting' but cut to shape incidents in Moores opinion whilst trying to make it look like a documentary.
